Believe a third of what you watch, less of what you read

Trust in TV news coverage dropped from 49% to 36%, and trust in newspaper articles fell from 47% to 34%. Viewers are 3 times more likely to believe an “expert” talking head than a CEO.

AP will sue if you embed their Youtube

A country radio station in Tennessee, WTNQ-FM, received a cease-and-desist letter from an A.P. vice president of affiliate relations for posting videos from the A.P.’s official Youtube channel on its Website..A.P. accused the station [an AP affiliate] of “stealing their licensed content.” techcrunch

Dramatic footage of the G20 protests in London obtained by the Guardian

shows that the man who died at last week’s G20 protests in London was attacked from behind and thrown to the ground by a baton–wielding police officer in riot gear. The footage was shot by a fund manager from New York who was in London on business.

Rocky Mountain News - journos regroup.

A group of Rocky Mountain News journalists launched a subscription drive today for the online news site INDenverTimes.com.

Their goal is to get 50,000 subscribers by April 23 — the 150th anniversary of the first edition of the Rocky Mountain News — in order to launch the full site by May 4.
